Hi folks. I have HP 4540s with dead GPU (usual HP overheating). I saw few videos on youtube from russian technicians who desoldered few ID resistors and disabled power to GPU. After that Laptop won't initialize discrete GPU during POST and will use UMA instead. I wan do it to my board, but in schematics it is unclear which resistors should be removed/added.
I have found VRAM ID resistors in schematics which may be the right ones but half of resistors are not marked on actual board. Has anybody encounter with similar situations?
