    https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...nder-windows-7

No idea. Not even sure what kind of switch or its location. Under warranty but asus warranty handling sucks. Anyone know where and the type (magnetic, mechanical) so I can try to see if I can trigger it manually and perhaps get asus to fix it and not just return it saying it didn't do it for them?

Asus G73 - What a awesome laptop! It's still my baby (with some updates along the years)

Since the sleep reason points to the lid switch and not other (e.g. API, power settings, overheat, ...) u must check it.
It's a magnetic reed switch type, located near the Capslock/Numlock LEDs at the laptop base.
Use a magnet to trigger it without closing the lid.
