nvidia mxm graphic glich after new bga

hi i've reworked some mxm video card ( most of them are 8600gt) and most of them went 100& ok, but osme video card are giving me windows orizontal lines sometimes, but if i start some 3d application they just works fine.

my question is: is it related to that 64-128bit ? isnt that the bus interface that has nothing to do with memory? a 64bit sould support all the memory we need

my video card is a 256bit bus with 2gb of vram, so a 128bit sould easy support 1gb and a 64bit shouls easly support at least 512mb that these card should have or have less. for example gpu-z show me 256mb and 64bit chip.

anyone encountered this king of problem ?

these glich appear sometimed when i move some windows .

Depending on the bus you need to use the appropriate memory modules. Furthermore most designs differentiate according to the size of the bus of the gpu used, i.e. look at the configuration table for nvidia GPU of sony's MBX-250

i have seen that table, but could it be that my card has 512mb and a 64bit gpu cant handle them?

ps: i've noticed that these lines happen when gpu change its frequency; for example when gpu core pass rom 169mhz to 275, from 275 to 474 and viceversa when it low down.

I've told you different bus gpu requires different configuration of memory. 64bit gpu will not work with the configuration of 512mb vga card. Furthermore if mxm has it's own bios it will probably need a different bios.

ok i've reballed it's old gpu and put it back on it's card. now i see 512mb of vram, but the glich still happen when it swich from one frequency to another, so it's not a gpu bga problem , but must be some power issue.

each glich happen when goes from one frequency to another. these video card have 3 step
what could it be ? bad caps ?

found where problem was... vga bios ... tnx atsio for helping

64bit gpu can be used no problem with these 512mb card. it just show half the amount of ram.

if u have 512mb card it wil lshow 256mb. if u have 256mb card u have to move resistor or it will show as a 128mb card.
