i have for a repair here a toshiba portege z30 a 243e


i like to find the circuit diagram and also some info like how to backup the original bios.

found a tiny winbond chip but i dont know if this is the bios chip

the number is : 25q64fvslq

in 25Q64fvslq that 64 means 64Mbit/8=8Mbyte eeprom, so it is bios ic

For the backup you have to read the chip and save the bin with the programmer, but if the chip s dead you can't backup it.

no its not dead only passlocked , but what programmer do i need and is there also someone who have a backup bios.

if its readed out is it possible to get the password out of it

or another way to reset the bios

Like mini pro or Ezp2010 you gone need a adapter to make the chip fit.

how do you know those programmers support my chip

and is that chip only one that stores the bios

1)Those programmer support almost all type of chip, but you will need the adapther to fit your chip, all the chip will need a adapter,

2)and yes only that chip store the bios,

3)for you aliexpress s a good place to be.

With the programmer you can read or rewrite all type of chip, and for the adapter you have to buy it separate, but it depend which programmer you buy, there s programmer with many type adatper including...

This toshiba series password store in eeprom chip.Only 1 guys remove the passoword not free pay $$$$ and remove it.
