ASUS K50l, single beep, no POST, backlight on, fans running.

Machine was running last night as I was working on some Windows updates for a client.

This morning I try booting, no boot.

Back light comes on, black screen.
Single short beep from the front speakers.
Fans are running.

Have swapped the RAM, including moving a single SODIMM between slots.
Have removed the HDD and ODD, same result.
Disconnected the CMOS battery, same result.

Stripped everything out, came partially back to life, looks like perhaps bad nVidia/GFX RAM perhaps, or the GPU itself.

My goodness I greatly dislike the K50 series in terms of extracting the mainboard, really, it's HORRIBLE.

all k50 have faulty balls under gpu. just refloow it

Thanks. Client has opted to just buy a new laptop. In to the 'broken spares' box this one goes.
