Thanks Trebo I will tell my friend. She had thought it was a computer I gave her, but then remembered she bought it from ReCP. Look up her sales slip and the password was on the sales slip, but I will tell her as this might happen again. She had one of those days when three of her electronics went down all at the same time.Thanks again I appreciate your help.Comment

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -
Looking for anybody that can advise me how to proceed as I sold a Dell XPS 8940 registered to me to a third party; who subsequently returned the item with an enabled BIOS password and does not return communication requests.
Is there anybody who can access the master pw for this system? (Service tag 60QVNK3) Or is there a chip I can flash or edit with a ch3413a device/vertyanov jig? My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.

Hello I have a dell optiplex SFF plus 7020 with a password that I recovered from e-waste. It is possible to get the password removed via the bios patch method? I managed to dump the 32MB bios chips and would like help patching it to MFG mode so I can clear the password.
