Looking for anybody that can advise me how to proceed as I sold a Dell XPS 8940 registered to me to a third party; who subsequently returned the item with an enabled BIOS password and does not return communication requests.
Is there anybody who can access the master pw for this system? (Service tag 60QVNK3) Or is there a chip I can flash or edit with a ch3413a device/vertyanov jig? Thanks for any help you can provide with this issue. I requested the Master PW from the Dell support portal and was informed that I had been placed in the "paid support queue", as my warranty has expired...

Re: THINKPAD L390 password
So this is a newer model lenovo with the self-healing bios that you guys got working? I've got a t14s with a locked pw (admin); was curious if there was a method for these machines yet..If these manual methods work I'll go ahead and post the bios, just was looking for confirmation that the self-healing bios has been sucessfully bypassed. Thanks guys!

Razer Blade advanced 15" 2019 - BIOS LOCKED - SOLUTION HERE
So I looked around and didn't see this answer anywhere on the forums, perhaps it was buried but I figured I should share the wealth and let people know the easyness before they try and flash their bios chips (saw several failed attempts at this)... Anyways the 2019 (and maybe the earlier models) have a goddamn CMOS battery on the board. Pop it off, unplug the main batt, press down power for ~10sec, replace batt and connector. BAM. BIOS password defeated. Like it's 1999 baby.

Lenovo x1 extreme v3 - BIOS PW LOCKED
Anybody had any luck with these newer lenovo laptops? 10th gen intel CPU, this girl is a beast with an i7-10850h, 64gb RAM, 4k 60hz led and 2tb storage. Lucky they didn't disable usb boot so I was able to wipe the drive encryption and get a windows install booting; yet it would be so much nicer to have full bios access, as this machine has dual nvme slots and I've been having much trouble doing PSID resets sofar; can't seem to boot past the USB password due to UEFI protections (going to legacy bios seems to get through this, but now I've had issues with my windows10 live cd's not liking samsung...

Re: Need bios pw or bypass for Dell latitude 7400
Cool, so people are having luck with this series by swapping the bios? I've got a ch351a so bios dump isn't a problem..just wasn't sure if it was worth bothering.
