HP COMPAQ DV4000 No picture

Hey guys,

I got this laptop with no picture problem,
I tried to reflow, it worked for a little time and the problem came back
So i decided to order a used board off Aliexpress
(i don't own a reball machine)

Bad luck, the board was sold as used but 100% good with warrenty,
but you can visibly see that it had suffered from water damage
i had power and picture so i assembled everything,
but now the keyboard doesn't work.

i already replaced this keyboard, and i can say almost for sure that it worked
on the previous motherboard after reflow.

Im not sure i will try to fix it, unless i won't be able to recive a refund from the seller.
But if i will try to fix the board, what could be the reason for the keyboard not to work?

That's sad to hear. Usually if keyboard is OK you can try to swap the KBC chip from one board to the other.

Usually it has ENE on it and it is near the kb connector

i know what are you talking about, but this mainboard,
doesn't seem to use this chip,

added front & back of the board
(took them from goole, but it is identical)

the keyboard connector is left of the northbridge

Can't see it either sorry. Maybe a schematic will be helpful? You will have to trace where the keyboard pins go to that might be the faulty IC

as board was in contact with liquid, clean keyboard connector with isoprophyl
