    Broken Fujitsu U9310X (FMVU29013, R1200111) laptop

    I obtained very strange behaving Fujitsu U9310X.
    What I tested and what happend:
    1. It's not charging battery (except for one time - comment down below).
    2. If battery is connected, Intel Core i7 on it just works on slowest clock possible.
    3. If battery is disconnected, Intel Core i7 works pretty much ok, bust frequency when needed but sometimes feels like it jumps to much with frequencies and not exactly work on fastest clock.
    4. When connecting original fujitsu charger through power barell laptops just turns itself off immediately (whenever its connected to usb c power or not).

    Once, when I connected it with another battery, it charged battery, worked as expected and even power barell connection was ok and was charging battery.
    It didn't happen again.

      My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

      Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

      My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
      The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

      Hi everyone,

      I'm having an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad P43s. The laptop does not power on when the internal battery is connected, but it works fine on AC power alone (battery disconnected). Once the battery is reconnected, the system becomes completely unresponsive — no lights, no fan spin, nothing.

      Here's what I've tried so far:
      • Power/EC reset (held power button for 60 seconds with battery and AC disconnected)
      • Booted successfully on AC power only with the battery disconnected
      • Visual inspection of the battery — no swelling, burn marks, or connector damage

      This was a no power initially. Thanks to your help, I discovered it was the first mosfet, so I replaced. Now, the device will power up only if the battery is NOT connected. As soon as I connect the battery, it shuts off. If I connected the battery while the device is off, it simply will not respond to the power button. I replaced the battery, and while I suppose the new battery could be faulty, I'm assuming it is not. I'm having the same behavior with the new battery. I measure .2v at the charging coil. Manually applying power to the + and - at the battery header, there is no charging happening....

      Ok so this doing my head in and hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to assist.

      I've got a MacBook Pro 820-2915-A it will power on without the battery connected, but when the battery is connected it will do a 2,3-second fan spin when pressing the power button and then nothing.

      After measuring and probing around I found that R7051 was bad, reading high instead of 2.2Ω so I replaced it. Still the same issue, I have the green light on the charger but it won't power on or charge the battery.

      So to cut the long story short I've replaced U7000,...

      I have an RC radio handset(Taranis QX7) which doesn't have internal battery charger which means I had to remove the battery every time I needed to charge it.
      So to improve it, I added a 15W USB-C charger board(link) inside and soldered it to the same connector on the PCB where the battery plugs into, great, now I can simply charge it with a USB-C cable.

      but the problem I found is that after the radio sat for two weeks without being used the 2S 18650 battery that I'm using was at 4.2V!
      So the battery is backfeeding the charger and being drained.

      How can I prevent...
