Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-13ACN05

Hi,

We're experiencing an issue with a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-13ACN5 that has no sound output. We've already tried replacing the internal speakers and the sub-board (which contains the Realtek audio chipset), but the issue persists.

The problem occurs on both Windows and Linux, and the headphone jack is also non-functional.

Is the Realtek audio codec enumerated inside of the Windows device driver? Be sure the device drivers are installed:

Do you see a speaker icon / Realtek configuration panel?

Is the headphone jack onboard the replacement board? It is possible that the headphone jack has the audio routing into a 'no man's zone' - speakers will not work nor the headphone. First be sure that the audio codec is being properly enumerated and mapped to a known good device driver. Next, inspect the headphone jack and if possiblee, blow it out with compressed air to remove any gerbils out of the body of the part.

Audio Jack is on the sub board, speaker audio appear in windows and linux and it detect input / output. I've attached pictures of how it look like in the settings, correct drivers are installed.

Good. The audio codec is detected and most likely trying to spit out audio. Back to a possible demented audio jack.

Disable the AMD audio devices in the Device Manager. Right mouse click each to disable. Test again.

Try uninstalling all audio drivers, also uninstall the AMD graphics drivers with DDU (run in safe mode)

Then install first the AMD VGA Driver for Windows 11 (64-bit) - Yoga Slim 7-13ACN05 from Lenovo site, afterwards install the Realtek Audio Driver for Windows 11 (64-bit) - Yoga Slim 7-13ACN05

Disconnect from the internet before installing the drivers, otherwise Windows will try to "update" those drivers

Yes, the audio depends on the AMD graphics drivers for some reason, i had the opposite issue on my HP 15-eh laptop where the volume on the speakers was stuck at full volume, the volume control didn't have an effect, it only happened with the latest graphics drivers from AMD website, until I found a newer audio driver that worked with those

Or if that doesn't work, try forcing the generic "High Definition Audio Device", on Device Manager, right click on "Realtek Audio" - Update driver - Browse my computer for drivers - Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
Select "High Definition Audio Device" from the list, once that driver installs, restart the laptop
