    ASUS X1403ZA R2.2 shorted +3VSUS

    ASUS X1403ZA R2.2 shorted +3VSUS

Ive isulated everthing and 2 thing is getting hot the pcb board and the cpu mildly

+3VSUS resistance to gnd is 1.6ohms

also i remove the PL8601 to isulate the low resistance side from the +1.2V Im getting 148 ohms resistance

hope someone can help me how to determine and find the issue oif this low resistance

Would you have the schematics or only the boardview file? I see only R2.1 bv in my database.

Which side of PL8601 is with the low side? The producer / upstream (regulator) side or the downstream / consumer side of this removed inductor?

I only have the board view file it's r2.1 bv line that goes to the 1.2v line

Which side is now @ 148R ohms? Is it pin #1 or #2 of the removed inductor? Which pin is with 1R6 ohms to ground?

Remove the PL8601 and the pin 1 has 148R , and PU8801 pin 9,8 has 1R6 resistance to ground

Consider to flux and carefully remove PU8801 off the board. If there are any parts between the PL8601 and PU8801 (pin 8&9) - remove them first. After each part removal, measure the resistance to ground again of the same PCB trace. Take pics before any reworking.

What about 1.8V rail? Is that also shorted?

                      +1.8VSUS - has 0.06 ohms

I remove the two resistor and the +VCCPRIM_1P8 was the shorted line but after removing this the +3VSUS still has 1.0 ohms to ground, +VCCPRIM_1P8 has 0hms to gnd is this already a cpu or pch issue? its in one package
