Hi all,
I have a question about a Lenovo board (HS45Q - HS45S (NM-D891) - later I will update this with the exact Lenovo model number.
I'm not experienced at all, but I managed to get this laptop from someone that needed to get rid of it. He had a water bottle in his bag which started leaking.
The initial problem was that it didn't show anything on the display, but it did show stuff when I connected an external display.
I saw water damage around the lcd connector. After cleaning and checking all wires and lines, somehow during testing I managed to blow up IT8227.
I decided to buy a donor board on Aliepress. I took IT8227 from there and reballed it.
After replacing it everything seemed to be fine, but it isn't.
The laptop is booting up again, but it looks like there isn't any activity coming from the CPU (it is getting warm).
I don't get anything on the display, and also when connecting an external keyboard and pressing caps-lock the light is not coming on.
When pressing the power button, the laptop does turn off, but it turns on again.
Also, it looks like the dedicated GPU doesn't have any voltage. Maybe that is normal?
Are there any possible steps that I can take, or is this board gone?
Thanks for your help guys!
