HP Spectre 13-af004na SSD not recognize anymore

    Hi all,

Two years back I've bout a HP Spectre 13-af004na with issues related to SSD. No mater what M2 SSD I will try (SATA or NVM type) will not be recognized by BIOS and will not boot. If the same SSD will be plugged to USBC port, laptop will boot into windows and could be used. Searching on internet, someone was suggesting to replace the ribbon cable between SSD PCB and MB, which I did, and worked nicely for 2 years (with SSD connected internaly).
Few months back, started to see blue screens several times, but after restart thinks would be back to normal.
Now SSD cannot be recognized by bios again.

The only option I have now is to buy another flexi cable, but that cable seems to me to be quite solid and I am thinking the issues can be from something else, bios maybe but I didn't found any topic about this model on this forum.
here is the flexy cable: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...Cquery_from%3A

    Can you please suggest ?

Can you test this ssd in another machine ?

If the cable was already a solution once, it is possible that after the years, some wires in it have broken. So, replacing it would be a easier first try.

SSD does work on other laptops, and same SSD can be used to boot windows on USBC.
I was thinking if there is a BIOS setting which may prevent BIOS to recognize SSD.

I will replace the cable again, cause there is no other option as of now, but is hard for me to believe a Cooper wire will damage in 2 years giving the fact was not bend or someone touch it after install.
