Acer Aspire 5745, 1 second power up, then dead

I tried searching the forums but without success on anything with this model (maybe search hates me?)

Anyhow, other than a 1 second orange blink on one of the LEDs on the front, nothing happens with this laptop. After the initial 1 second fire up you can't get it to do it again for another few hours.

Stripped out the HDD, ODD, memory ( just one in ), power brick is good ( worked on another ACER Aspire ), no improvement.

No power light coming up on the front array of LEDs.

Time for the schems.... or has this been heard of before?

Please provide with more info. Motherboard model, Current pull up etc. Cheers
