I have a strange problem with my iPad Pro 12.9 4Gen / A2229. When I start the device, it stays on the Apple logo, but when I heat the back of the device with a hair dryer, the device boots, but this time there is an interesting problem. The iPad is charging, but there is no USB data on the computer. The USB charging port has been changed and the chips seem normal, but I have given it to 2 different Apple services in Latvia, but the repair could not be done. Is there anyone who can help with this? Can someone support the repair by sending only the motherboard within Europe? Thank you.

How are you validating that there is no USB data? Be aware that there are USB C charge only cables. That is, the data lines are intentionally missing to save costs on the copper cabling inside of the cables. Be sure you have tested with a fully loaded USB C cable on this logic board. -

by waterchillHey folks, I have this iPad Pro 12,9" 4Gen A2232 here with no charging issue. The main fault was a crossed pins / faulty USB charging port due a bad cable.
So I started to replace this parts:
- replaced usb-c port -> no result
- replaced battery -> no result
- replaced usb-c chip CD3217B12A -> no result
- replaced 343S00326 -> no result
- replaced 343S00327 -> no result
- replaced 343S00328 -> no result
I have no more ideas for this issue. There is no short on the whole board, and the iPad is working fine... -
by GeirAndersenI tried searching the forum for whether this has been uploaded already, but couldn't find them (as a collection).
Here's a dump of a bunch of iPads, I've split into 2 archives to get under file limit

iPad Pro 11" 2nd model.
Itunes No. 9 error occurred, so I removed NAND. And I checked the components.
Among the rails that power the NAND, PP1V8_EXT_SW1 is abnormal. The diode value is very low at 0.040. This power rail is the rail that comes from the CPU, not the PMIC, and on a normal logic board, the diode value is 0.300.
When I inject an electric current into this rail, the CPU and encryption chip generate heat.
Should I say the CPU is damaged?...08-13-2024, 11:36 AM -
by Rab1Just to ask what could possibly be causing the logic board to make low buzzing sounds? Thanks.
