ihave a hp lattitude 6000 that wont start it turns on for about half a second and then shuts down blue leds show up and sometimes the fan runs for a very short time ,ihave reseated the gpu with with a hot copper block and reseated the cpu but no luck . the power supply tests ok also a new battery ,,any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated cheers shayn

Hi mate, set your multi-meter in Volts range (0-20 volts) connect black probe to motherboards ground and start testing voltages on all the coils (your laptop turns ON but shuts down - possibilities are one section of the motherboard not getting voltage - coils are denoted by 'L' , OR if all voltages are good then south or North bridge is busted and not giving the allgood signal back to the SIO). good luck
