    HP 6730b Need Help

    Hello All,

I recently picked up a good condition HP 6730b notebook from a local computer recycler. I bought a (New) genuine HP battery and HP charger off of Ebay because neither were included. The thing is that this laptop will not turn on completely. It turns on when plugged in with or without the battery attached and then quickly turns off. It cycles repeatedly like that until its unplugged. I also tried a universal laptop charger and the notebook does the same thing. I took some pictures of the front status lights if that will help. One picture is of the two outside orange leds and another picture is of the blue lightning led. I've included other pictures of various parts of the notebook and the charger. Does anyone have any ideas on why this notebook is behaving like this?

    Thanks As Always,

It is hard to say, start troubleshooting:
remove mainboard, visual inspection, does the behaviour change without memory, if you have, try another cpu, then measure secondary voltages on coils...

Power switch might be faulty. Try switching without the power switch and see
