on pin 85 of u10 on R224 i have 3.6v in and 0 out, so i think that resistor is gone,.

also on sw1 of power button i have no voltage....

        Re: acer 5920g

i did some other try. on D45, pin 3 has 3.6 volt, pin 1 is 0 volt.

        on pl6 i have 3.6 volt. on pq18 and pq17 i have 3.6 volt on pin 1-2-5-6, and 0v on pin 3-4.

is that mean i have to change for second time the sio chip u10 ?

          Re: acer 5920g

cant edit, so ill add upgrade: put back old windond u10 chip. now on d4 i have 0.3 volt (instead of 3.3 or 0 with the other chip.) all voltage to u10 are present except on pin 85 where i have 0 volt on pin , 3.6 volt before R224 resistor and 0v out r224 resistor. is that the problem then? bad resistor that dont give that voltage and all working bad... ?

why the new one didnt ever give me o.3volt on d45 pin N°1 ?

changed another u10 ,but same as before; changed also R224 and same ; 3.5 volt in and 0 out on that r224..... do i need to respect a side for that 0402 resistor ?

checked that 0402 resistor r224 and it read ok. dunno why it has 3.5 volt one side and 0 the other...

Are you getting rsmrst from pin75...also couldn't be pin85 shorted with other pins next to?

Just ground black probe & test with red in diode (beep) mode...if your reading is less than 10 your component is most likely shorted...you also need to check schematics as some of the components are grounded so you know which side or pin to test...of course with unplugged charger or battery...

I wanted to check rsmrst after pressing pwr button...
If you don't have the RSMRST signal that means there's a problem with SIO or BIOS...
I'm not a PRO, so not sure sure if all designs work like that...
Think atsio could clarify this, as he knows the stuff...

                        Also I would check

                        -pin26 @ U10
                        -pin2 @ PQ43

                        Of course after pressing pwr...

cant edit, but changed another new sio chip and always the same.

                            pin 26 u10 = 0 volt

                            pin2 pq43 = 0 volt.

pin3 of pq43 = 7.5 volt (dunno if multimeter battery is low)

edit: on pr153, i have 13volt in and 0 out.... is that normal for a 1m resistor ?

                              Ok...

                              So you do have 3V on PIN19, 46, 76, 88, 115 @ U10?
If so, are you getting low state signal on pin95 after pressing power button?

Also I don't like that you're getting 7.5V on VIN rail...In most mobos it should be 19V or above...

                              Check Voltages=

                              -PQ31 PIN4
                              -PQ32 PIN3

That's not right...you must have 3V as well as on power button/board...so problem lies there...Does it have separate power button board?

yes, connector is cn4. on that connector of 16 pin, i have 3 volt on pin 1.

                                        pin 14 ha 1.3volt
                                        pin15 has 2volt

                                        edit: on D45, i have on pin 3 (gate) 3volt . 0volt on the other 2 pins

havent schematic of that power board....

                                          Also check PIN91 voltage...
