What that bites, that one looks good. When iPad plugged into amp meter I get 5v at .95amps. Must have something else going on.

Current draw is immediately 0.95 A? Or does it increase gradually to this level?

I am getting 4.3v at 1.4a as soon as plug in. Should I have some components to the right of the battery connector. There are two spots empty. Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_2974.jpg Views:	0 Size:	4.59 MB ID:	3299973

Not at my desk so will check against board view tomorrow but a hefty immediate current draw often means a shorted part. Remove all power. Check the resistance to ground of the power rails starting at the input lightning connector.

Test this flex cable in diode mode and documented measurements of the same.

See attached. Is the parts placement similar to this bv? Can you identify the missing parts references?

Yeah looks like its the resistor just to the right top tip of the battery connector. They are just turned the other orientation R2250, that missing resistor should effect anything. Right. Will do some short checking. Thanks
