So got this onexplayer mini in, knew it was gonna be a bit challenging since it's Chinese and essentially a laptop crammed onto a mini pcb, no schematics or support available for them. Anyways originally the issue was that it would no longer charge, no charging light, no power etc. Went to work and swapped out the bq charging ic, and manually recharge the battery cells to get it back to 13v, now charging light comes on, still no power.
back to basic checked for shorts, continuity to ground from coils, nothing out of the ordinary, checked for voltages at could only the coil for use c gets power @20v when connected to charger 13v when just battery is connected. I managed to find a few spots of 3v but haven't been able to get other voltages present, power button has 2.4v and when pressed indeed goes low as it should.
Anyone have any thought were to go next? I checked the bios by dumping the spi and it seems ok, but spi never gets 1.8v so it doesnt matter, its never gotten to oull the bios. I was starting to think maybe the ITE chip controls power on functions but it's not shorted and is getting correct power as well, I believe ec is copied via spi on boot and since spi never powers on... any help would be appreciated!
