    about Surface Pro 5 BIOS IC

    Hello good folks from this forum

    I have a question about Surface Pro 5 Bios IC. I'm not sure if this is the right topic in here but here goes. I'm still new to this and learning so please be patience with me

    I have taken off the Bios IC to try remove the bios password on it. I got the original bios readout. Afterwards i could not write to it because pin 7 was damaged (sub board of the reader was broken)
    So i ordered a new progammer plus sub board. But i think i have placed wrongly in the programmer once. Because now it can not detect the IC anymore. So my question is: can i use for example a Bios IC from a surface pro 4 and re-write to pro 5 bios to that? Or do i have to get a donor pro 5 ic for that?

    For now i want to try to get the surface to turn on again with the lock on it. So i try again

      Hello everyone, I happen to have a Microsoft Surface Pro X 1876 in my hands. It was brought to me by a friends which happen to have taken off the bios chip to test another motherboard. Upon putting back the bios chip on the original motherboard, The PC is stucked on Windows logo and won t boot to bios or anything.       Hey. Sometime ago i bought broken surface pro 4 supposedly it was dead. But turns out it was just a faulty charger. Although when it powered on and after all updates, touchscreen didn't work it also doesn't work in UEFI. On my original bios in device menager it shows yellow triangles on Surface ME and Surface Touch, hid-compliant touchscreen was missing.
