    killed my bios chip?

    long story short,
I read the chip on ch341 and tired to figure out how to remove the bios password and couldn't but I wrote the bin back and now it doesn't boot, I get a white light on the power button for about 10sec then turns off.
I tried to trouble shoot and Measure the bios chip.
    pin1 has 3v
    pin 8 VCC shows 1.5-1.8v
did I kill the chip? on the datasheet says pin8 +3v power supply

Is the 25L25673G the original bios that was onboard? According to the datasheet, this exact part number is for use @ 3v3. It cannot function @ 1v8.

Yes it's the original bios chip, i probably shorted it when I removed it and hook it up bios chip reader. I'm just to going to order another chip and see if that fixes the problem

Chip wont go bad when you remove it from mb and read it with an spi programmer-very unlikely. check whether any resistor near bios chip is blown away while de soldering it.

Hi Prof, what happened to you in the BIOS after changing the same number, or is there an alternative?
