    Jasko_jacker,
i have updated the bios by downloading from Asus's site. But have not pulled the chip and set it in a programmer as of yet. Issue happened prior to bios flash as well. I can pull the chip. Backup BIN. Erase and reprogram. If you think it will advance us.

Just an update on this one. I requested a full refund and got it. Haven't bought a battery yet. I may just use it as my new lab machine. Laptop is fast. And i will never use it's portability anyway. Or should i keep digging at it? Jury's verdict? Haha

If indeed all the voltages are correct and the "power sequence" is respected then I would rebuild the old bios by doing a "clean me" and (provided that it is possible to extract the main bios from the Asus website) I would insert that too
