Strange fault with this unit!
Condition: no ram.
The unit will power on with no ram, then after 15-20 seconds turn off, reboot and continue this loop.
Condition: Ram in slot 1.
In this slot, the unit will stay on with the green solid light, however it doesn't boot. Harddrive spins up but no display.
Condition: Ram in slot 2.
With ram only in this slot, the unit will turn on, then the power LED will flash in the following sequence:
White - Orange Orange - White - Orange Orange - Off.
I found a service manual but couldn't find any reference to what the error code meant. Any ideas?
Tried swapping CPU's, ram, no luck. I have another A300 here so I'm going to test the GPU, although I'm certain that's not at fault.
