    Removed all the components from that line and still reads as shorted. So this board is going on the scrap pile and I've FUBAR'd the northbridge to stop myself messing about with it anymore. Shame, but at least I've learnt a few things from troubleshooting this board! Cheers folks!

      did you took out the northbridge and still short?
      Just cook it! It's already broken.

        Tried to but it's glued on and I can't be bothered to remove it lol.

        I think I tried to power it up too soon after heatgunning it, that may have caused it to go completely dead. Something I should be more careful with in the future I think.

          if we all where force to video what we do i think we will never watch tv only each other what crazy thinks we do :P (i got my share of XP > )
