HP G6000: Not Detecting CD-ROM Drive

Is this a BIOS issue? Tried a working drive but still not detecting. BIOS needed reflashing?

Not too sure.

Yes, drive has power; disc also spins up inside.

if i see a hp dv with no wifi and optical detection reball a.s.a.p maybe in this case its the same

I can speak for the wifi issue and you are correct. But I did a reflow of that issue-laptop and all was well. I'll do a reflow on this one and see.

Usually if reflow goes the woods then the flow is bad..wlan in the dv series usually means gpu..
