Please help me ACER ASpire 4750z auto power on

hye all profesional here. i got 1 acer aspire 4750z. the problem is when the charger is connected to laptop system power up without presssing button. when shutdown my laptop restart not totaly power off.

my solution is replace new cmos battery--not ok this laptop power on without cmos battery when put batery cmos laptop cant power on

3v/5v/19v all present value

already flash bios -- still same

check processors / ram --all good.

check all mosfet -- no trace fault

help me

after reflow laptop cant power on only orange indicator light appear. look at the picture . any one have an idea? now my laptop cant on

if you heated too much it is possible. did you apply flux under it before heating ? Try reflow again, if it doesnt work you have to reball or replace with a new one.

thanks spidey. i update latest now my laptop can turn on till window desktop. the problem before this bios chip cold solder join. so i fix with resolder back. acer give orange indicator as checker bios problem. if im wrong let me know.

my problem now is my laptop can turn on without cmos battery. anyone help me what the problem is ? maybe im do some missing checking.

im study the rtc power. seem like leakage for Q6001. pin 3 i got same value rtc batery. that wrong or not?

Currents involved in that circuit, are extremely low, so voltage drop in resistance are also low, so I think are normal values.

Ok thanks for your info francisco. Im still not found where the leakage. My laptop still outo power on cant shutdown also. Put rtc batteries cant power on

it is south bridge, if reflow didnt work, you must reball. it is the solution.

I don't understand what you say, and what the problem is.
All laptops can turn on without cmos battery, but obviously all settings will lost.

No, it is not true. You cant power on AMD systems, and most of intel systems, without cmos battery installed.

I always disconnect the cmos battery when reprogramming bios chip, and only reconnect it when the motherboard is fully functional. Till now I haven`t any issues.

Agree spidey then fyi acer like 4551 aspire 4732 4810 also hav check all voltage and if your rtc batteries below 1.8v the system cant power on. After replace then system up thats my exp. But for this problem 4750z still no solution. I musy follow suggestion from spidey to reball sb

Right now, I have a Sony vgn-nw21(cpu Intel) and an Asus x5 (cpu Amd) that works without the cmos battery, and woks perfectly well. (except date and clock)
Perhaps the controversy is that you have cmos battery connected, and is draining current from VCC_RTC, due to internal leakage.
Sometime I can read in forums what you say, but till now, it never happen to me.

thanks for sharing your knowledge here. back to the main problem anyone can guide me what should to do. the problem auto on still happen. i got also compaq v3000 also turn on automatically when charger is pluged in with no display.

you should try on aspire 4551....
