    Toshiba p200 display issue!!!

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows about this issue I have with the following laptop.

    Toshiba Satellite P200-1EE
    Model no:PSPB6E-0GMO28EN

The issue is the LCD is blank and only get a mere white flicker then blank as laptop continues its boot up process. I have changed the Inverter and no joy, I have a working backlight out of a smashed screen and when connected into a tested Inverter it doesn't light up at all. The laptop will work fine when connected to an external display. If anyone has had a similar issue any help would be greatly appreciated. I have come to a brick wall and think the issue is with something on the MB but not sure where to look so please expert advice will go a long way thanks again oxy.

hello, do you have a (dark) image on the LCD screen? Check the voltage on pin 40 (or positive side of C765) You should read 3V If so you can connect pin 40 with pin 35 of JP9 (LCD plug on mainboard). By doing so you bypass the Inverter Off signal and force the inverter to turn on. Had to do this on another Toshiba (A200). The pin indications are for your mainboard LA-3441P rev2b
For the schematics Google LA-3441P Pdf

Oops! the schematics i looked at are the wrong revision (REV01) this one shows JP9 as a 42 pin connector, not 40 pin you'll have to look for the right schematics i'm afraid (or do the mesuring yourself to see if pin 40 or 42 have 3V).
