Acer Aspire One 8Gb SSD

Hello , I received (MINI laptop) Acer Aspire One 8Gb SSD . the problem some time freezing.
I try to format but going xp installation very slow. any solution from expert person? help would be great appreciated. thanks

Yea that "SSD" is actually just a memory stick in disguise (think compact flash)
They usually have so poor performance that it can be impossible to install straight from CD media, you need to do an image based install.

Or just chuck the crappy SSD and put a good one in it's place if the design allows it

Thanks for input, I don't have xp image. But I Try to install through the usb cd rom
successfully installed. but it taking time more than two hours.

You can try to make a boot usb from Ubuntu linux live-cd or Hirens live-cd, and check if the 8Gb SSD is in good condition.
