Good day, good folks of the Forum!
I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3511 that was working perfectly fine before starting a screen installation. Then after getting the screen installed, the system will briefly turn on when I press the power button, but will not stay on...
If I press and hold the power button, the system will "stay on" but there is no POST or anything...
When I connect a charger, the system will power on immediately, and stay on. But no POST and the system can not be hard shutdown...
As there is no CMOS battery, do I just need to disconnect the power and the battery and let it sit for a while to reset the board?
I did pull the RAM, and am not getting any BIOS beep code errors.
The power light (where the charger plugs in) is solid white; no flashing or anything.
I disconnected the screen; still the same thing.
Disconnected the mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc = Still the same thing with the no POST.
Completely baffled by this!
Maybe I somehow killed the board, but if anyone has experience with this issue or one similar, I am ALL ears!!
Mucho appreciato ahead of time!
