    compaq m2000 cap problem

I have 2 identical M2000 motherboards 1 that is working and the other is totally dead.
i have check the cap values(smd caps) on the working board to cross reference with the dead board
working caps 198uf 0.06 esr and on the dead board the value is 670 uf 0.09 esr. Do i assume the caps in the identical positon on the dead board need replacing.
    Any help much appreciated

They look fine i do belive the laptop was dropped at some point very minor crack to the plastic around the dc jack area . The board is dead when you power on no led's comming nothing.
I have read posts on another forum that the resistor and mosfet near the dc jack do have problems, I have checked these and they both have the same values.

the caps around the maxim chip are showing totall higher values than on the working board

i am using a peak esr 70 to measure the values

            Thanks
