    Packard Bell Easynote TJ65 sound

    Hi all

my friend Cristina has bought this notebook and she can't solve a small problem: when she connect or disconnect the power supply the notebook plays a strong beep.

I have searched in BIOS option but I can't find a way to disable it.

I hope someone here has a suggestion to solve it.

The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium but I think the sound doesn't depend on it.

    TIA
    Gianni

I think it's hardcoded in the BIOS. It might need a BIOS mod...

      Thanks Th3_uN1Qu3

If it is hard coded than she must live with the annoying beep because I don't like to play with BIOS especially on a new notebook.
It seems to me so stupid not to allow to the user to switch it off easily.

Laptop BIOSes are among the stupidest pieces of software ever created. You have to live with it i'm afraid.

We have some IBM Thinkpads at the school that do the same thing... it is quite annoying!
          Ludicrous gibs!

both my ibm thinkpads do it (r50 and x31).
but if the sound is muted it wont do it.

              Thanks guys

as far as I can see there are some notebook that do the same thing.

@ shovenose: you are right but it is hard to remember every time to turn the volume off before to connect or disconnect the PS.
