Im currently repairing a lenovo laptop that dont boot, when I connect the charger, the charging led on in white, when I put the battery and turns on the laptop, the power on and charging led are in white without the charger connected. I reprogramming the bios and I verified voltages and are ok, in fact, the laptop turns on the same leds on the same form if I turns on the laptop without the bios chip solded. I also verified the starting chip, so I dont know where's the problem.

With a pre-charged battery, does this laptop boot normally ? You can see video and boot into Windows (with only the battery) ? -

No, only the leds on. Moreover, if the battery are without charge, and I plug the charger, the led of power on turn on and the led of battery show that the battery is charging, there's no screen. Also I verified with a VGA cable but doesnt work. https://imgur.com/a/lEeePrBComment

I've had this laptop for about 3 years. Lenovo-Ideapad-700-15ISK-i5-6300HQ
a few months ago I've started experiencing this issue where I'd press the power button, everything would start up,
keyboard lit up, fans start spinning etc., but the screen remained black. I would then power off the machine by holding the power button for a couple seconds, and try again. It would boot up normally after the third or fourth attempt. . maybe a corrupt BIOS problem ?12-22-2024, 09:29 AM -
I've searched and read Beginners guidelines and other sticky threads. This is just a simple bios question. If I may, I'm having trouble finding any help, including from lenovo tech support & forum, for how to get usb boot to list in boot options. I'm trying to run memtest86 so nothing as highfaluting as re-install, flash a bios, etc.
I've made usb boot enabled and secure boot is disabled. I can find no other option in bios ver LZCN34WW (the original bios). Would anyone here be familiar with LOQ or Legion bios versions & know what is going on?

Hi, I have a few of these & they came with a custom bios boot logo, no passwords etc.
2 x were brand new unused but with custom boot logo, 1 I installed Windows/ran updates then it bricked itself. 1 wouldn't get past the custom bios boot logo.
The third I loaded windows, took a backup of the bios chip, then tried to flash several different clean bios's via programmer which all caused it to not boot. I tried to reflash the original bios both using clip & desoldering but... -

yesterday I received from eBay a Lenovo M92p TINY model 3238 system with 4GB of RAM and a 500GB mechanical HDD.
I tested it and it worked fine, it booted to a fresh Win10 x64 French OS .
The plan was to replace the mechanical HDD with an SDD one and upgrade RAM to the max 16GB since I had 2x 8GB SODIMM modules.
I noticed that there was an update on the Lenovo support site so I thought I'd do that first and then proceed with the upgrades and installation of new OS.
The windows BIOS update completed successfully and the system booted to a bios-like...
