Hello. I have the laptop of the title for which I can't find any info at all...
It suddenly stopped working (no power at all).
I located a chip overheating and by removing it the laptop POSTed, but (not suprizingly) did not boot into OS.
The problem is that the said chip is something I have never seen before and couldn't Identify it.
The markings are MPPD 8694 1456 C

Any help would be really appreciated.Thank you in advance!

That's a MP86941GQVT-Z, a integrated controller from Monolithic Power Systems.

From where did you remove it? You probably have a important power rail missing right now, so I'm more surprised that it even does the P.O.S.T. ...

I was surprized too that it P.O.S.T.ed, and even showed the boot menu of my USB drive. I couldn't find schematic, so I have no idea what's its purpose...

Check resistance to GND of all four coils in this row. Want to know which coil belongs to what. You have removed 1 phase either of VCore or of GFXCore. However, this explains why it basically works, at least till some extent.

all of them have about 19 Ohms to GND. The third coil from the left is clearly the one connected to the controller I removed. I'll order a controller and update when I have it replaced

Make sure the CPU isn't dead already, then track repair. These is advanced stuff, of course. You need to get rid of the burned layers and carbonised stuff and also have to restore the Pads, which needs tons of experience. The CPU might run with one Phase missing, but no garantee.

The bad news, that points directly to the CPU. Chances are the CPU is dead and shorted.

Hello everyone, I don't know if anyone has experienced something similar to this. Initially I thought it was a BIOS problem, I decided to program both the main one and the one next to the GPU, obtaining the same result. The computer operates normally in the BIOS, but when I try to start an OS, either by SSD drive or USB, it restarts as soon as the installation process or the OS starts. I appreciate any help. I've attached a video.
