pin 24 is REGEN (RENG on the schematic), should be 6V. It's derived from an internal linear regulator and active when ACDET is above 0.6V (which you say it is). If that is missing and there is no short, then replace PU15.

How do you know that regen should be 6v And acdet 0,6

Thanks to you I’m learning a lot

Re: [help]asus gl703ge dead, no shorts!

From the charger IC datasheet. Check for the details on the TI.com website. Texas Instruments acquired the BenchmarQ line which is known as the 'BQ' series.

The REGN is a linear regulator, aka LDO, that accepts the high voltage input on the VCC pin and drops it down to 6 volts.

This REGN voltage is then used to boost the output voltage on the ACDRV pin = adapter voltage+REGN=~25 volts to enable the DCin mosfets.

The charger IC will only do this if the ACDET pin is above a certain threshold voltage.

Review the datasheet from Texas Instruments for more details. If the part is in the witness protection program, locate a similar one to understand the operation. Sometimes, the larger OEMs will force Texas Instruments to build a modified part or with a unique marking.

Re: [help]asus gl703ge dead, no shorts!

replaced pu15 and second mosfet (pq22): now i have 6v on regn, 0v on acok 2,5 on acdet

on vcc i have 18,3 instead of 19... and on acdrv i have this

          https://files.fm/f/5rkbttkm9

Here a video of VIN on pr192

          https://files.fm/f/9gd25ftv9

I’m sure that even pq23 was touched

p.s is it normal that the gate of pq21 is connected to the gate of pq22?

Make sure all passive components around PQ21/22 are fitted. ACOK is being pulled low, so this means that the BQ chip has identified an issue. ACDRV may be present when power is first switched on, and if something isn't right it will be removed. So check your caps etc around those FET's.

Using the original power supply (instead of my power bench) i have 20v stable after the second mosfet!!!
              but motherboard still dead...

              now i haven't 3v and 5v on pl21 and pl22

Restart like you have teach me from page 56

              +3v_Rtc and rtc_rst present (3v)

              AC_IN (ACIN?) 3v on pr200

              +3VPCU present on pr200

              S5_on present (2,5v)

              3v_s5 0.9v

              5v_s5 0,5v

              3v_s5 and 5v_s5 measured directly on pu28

For the low voltage rails, check if they are shorting. Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode.

Check the resistance to ground at each coil. Post the measurements.

As @mon2 said, start by checking for shorts +3V_S5 and +5V_S5 rails. Also check components around PU28 and basic requirements. Vin is valid, LDO's (VREG3/VREG5) present, no missing components (the board has been previously worked on don't forget). Check MOSFET's as well.

VREG5 is missing and should be active if either enable (EN1 or EN2) is high - confirm this on pin 6 and pin 20. It can only sink 100ma and the only other place it goes apart from PC347 is CN16 so isolate that first. It is important as it is used internally as a reference for both buck converters. If that all checks out, replace PU28.

                                  So i've replaced pu28... i've used TPS51225 intead of RT6575DGQW

then, trying to check for voltage on it, i've shorted 2 pins destroing pu28 and shorting pq62

                                  https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...f48d97f10b.pdf
                                  i've replaced it wih this

                                  and replaced pu28

now i have no short anymore on lines 3v_lx and 3v_dl

but now i have not s5_on...(85kohm resistance)

i 've rechecked basic requirement for EC: VCC/AVCC/VSTBY/Vbat/EC_RST#/RSMRST#/AC_IN

I would suspect that you've introduced an overload on the 3V rail. Since you had S5_ON previously and now you don't would infer that you've likely damaged your EC. Assuming this to be the case, then anything else on that rail is also likely to be suspect. Check your PCH as well for damage.
