Extracted and saved as bin file
Machine behaved sluggishly during a change in BIOS parameters I esc from the screen and believe this corrupted the BIOS. After this machine would boot but al drives were not enumerated, and the machine would attempt a boot via NIC.
Then it refused to boot. NO beeps Case fans and cpu fan work and red diagnostic triangle is lit but no writing to a correctly formatted USB stick occurs.
So I bought a CH341A and after fiddling with the clip connected and read the firmware.

                      Chip is MX25l8006E

I recall the installed BIOS was the second to latest version. S00KT72A
                      Motherboard is SCORPIUS REV 1.1 00FC922 (1P) SA70A15451
I assume a file compare tool would be helpful, but I do not know how to extract the BIOS from the download package on the Lenovo website.

diagnostic light is gone no beeps no gpu fans but case and cpu on full
is there another file I can try?

ok the chip i read and tried to flash is not the BIOS it seems.
There is a position on the motherboard with two chip locations. One is empty the other occupied. But I se the chip well enough to identify it.
Also the clip does not establish a connection as indicated by illumination of the green light on the programmer.
I cannot flash the contents of the MX25l8006E chip as my file is now oversize.

Look for the chip with the number 128 on its back.

I've never seen such a poorly marked chip chip.
                                  it is a mx25l12873f
but the clip does not connect. Does the board need to be powered on?
ill try to de solder and read from the cradle device on the programmer. Or have a less shaky friend do that.
If unreadable are there sources for a replacement chip?
also how do I reflash the MX25l8006E I attached the read I did before messing about but its now too large to reflash to the chip. By 1 k.
I have no idea if the file I extracted can be repaired in an editor. Much less do I have the skill to do so.

I misread and thought it was Bios.
read and saved contents attached in previous and tried to force the 16 mb bios onto it.
                                      it erased now.
I tried to flash the file I pulled from it but it errors out as the file is too large.
