    MSI B560M PRO-VDH bios

Hi everyone, I received on my desk one MSI mainboard with an bricked bios.
The owner tried to flash with a new version of the bios, but unfortunately the procedure failed.
With the faulty bios, the motherboard started but did not display anything on the monitor and the Dram LED was always on.
I made a backup of the faulty bios and rewrote it with one from the MSI site but the motherboard still doesn't start.
I put the saved bios back in flash memory and the motherboard doesn't start with it either.
Does anyone have a solution for this defect?
I have attached the faulty flash memory backup.

    Thanks in advance.

Re: MSI B560M PRO-VDH bios bricked

I find my problem with this mainboard, the problem was that by putting back the memory with hot air the motherboard warmed up and I didn't let it cool down enough and in that area there is a southbridge and a temperature sensor.

So the problem is solved the motherboard is functional again, see the attached pictures.

The original bios were really corrupt, I put the latest version on the MSI site!

Help Disabling Flash Protection Range Registers on Lenovo P360 Tiny BIOS
      by abhorsen
      Hey guys,

Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

Here is my thread on Win-Raid detailing the whole process I went through: https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/re...h-gen/95478/27

Essentially I managed to boot into Windows while shorting PINs 1+5 of my audio chip to disable the HAP bit...

Dell Optiplex 7010 micro bad BIOS flash?
      by mrrubik
      Hi folks,

I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)

      Steps I took:
      1. Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice
      2. Patched

Is it okay to flash stock bios onto the motherboard's BIOS?
      by AkaBukai
      Hi there,
      I have a 14" Lenovo Laptop (Flex 5 14ALC05) which has a boot issue.
The little LED on the power button is flashing slowly and nothing happen.
This unit do not have any BIOS button cell battery so I tried many times draining the power but it is still not powering on.

So I decided to flash the BIOS using a cheap programmer.
And I was successfully able to read the content (exactly 16MB file) which BTW is a WINBOND 74m12jwsiq (according to the package inscription - but detected as W25Q128FW in the software - IMSProg on Linux)

      I also...

Panasonic CF-20G0247VM BIOS Bad Flash Help
      by James Jackson
I usually try to figure these things out on my own but am asking for help now as I have been beating my head against a wall.

Backstory, I initially ended up with a CF20 Mk2 with a locked BIOS. I used aptio to read the BIOS and made the adjustments to the .rom file and attempted to write it back with aptio before reading other users problems with that setup. Well it bricked the BIOS go figure. Computer no longer boots, black screen. I found a clean BIOS on this forum but now I am having ME issues. So I would rather hand over the aptio dump(pre BIOS brick) and a hardware reader dump(post...
