    Bad cap on Asus P5B-E

    Just had my 2yr 3m old Asus P5B-E go out on me, couldn't identify the problem at first, but after careful inspection I spotted a bulging and leaking cap by the SATA ports. And here's the clincher, it's a Nippon Chemicon KZG cap. I wasn't expecting that to go out. Might be my bad luck, or maybe it's a bootleg. Gonna try to get a pic uploaded soon.

    Edit: Sorry, I posted this in the wrong section, some mod move it, please?

    KZG are known to fail under high-heat conditions.

      Ah crap, I guess I should have looked into that. Doesn't come as unexpected news around here then I s'pose. I'm sending the board back as it still has warranty on it. I hope I get something decent in return.
