    Recap the motherboard! Especially if it's booting and Windows displaying an error message.

      Replace all those capacitors that say "KZG" on them, it's a well known series of capacitors that has problems in time.

      Be careful of polarity, Asus puts capacitors the other way around, the filled section on the pcb is the positive side of capacitors.
