Repairing GIGABYTE RTX 3070 TI GAMING OC 8GB Rev.1.0

    Hi everyone,

I picked up this non-working graphics card with the intent of repairing it. I don't know the details of its failure, but the card is in near-perfect cosmetic condition. It had never been opened before I started working on it.

During my inspection, I didn't spot any obvious physical damage. However, when testing, I discovered the PCIe 12V line was open. I replaced the blown fuse and rechecked the measurements—no short circuits on the main lines.

When I tested the card in a system, it prevented the PC from booting. I checked the main voltages, and they seem fine.

What would you suggest I check next to move forward with troubleshooting?

Do you think it can be an issue with PEX like in this post https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...reset-question ?

I'don't have a riser for testing in good condition so i will buy one and see if there is an issue with the pex_reset

Thank you but i have watched many videos. 😉
I can boot using my test motherboard with this GPU as a secondary one. MATS indicates an issue with memory banks A0 and B1. I will reball the chips as a first step.
