BIOS upgrade fail mother GA-A320M-S2H (rev. 1.2)

Hi, my USB ports were hanging every now and then when starting up. So I decided to update the BIOS of the mother. Unfortunately, after finishing the flashing through QFLASH with a pendrive of the latest firmware version, the cooler turns on, black screen and seems blocked.

    Model: GA-A320M-S2H (rev. 1.2)
    Processor: AMD A8 9600
    Previous BIOS version: F53

I downloaded the F58d version from here (I think it's the correct one)
    https://www.gigabyte.com/ar/Motherbo...upport-dl-bios

Is there anything that can be done? Any idea why it crashed?

Can you get another cpu to test, a Ryzen if possible. See what are the newest your board should support. It is possible that the new bios doesn´t support your old processor anymore.

Other than that, you can get a hardware flasher ( CH341a, for example ) and backup/reflash your bios chip with the original version.

I got the ch341a programmer but it doesn't recognize the integrated winbond 25q128jvsq. What software can I use?

I use flashrom, in linux. In Windows, people use NeoProgrammer or AsProgrammer

When reading bios incircuit u must depower the board completely and disconnect ATX PSU connector. Try also removing the RTC/CMOS battery. Despite that sometimes CH341 can't read bios chip incircuit, depends on board design, if so you must desolder it.

            🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
            by macabook
            Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
            🧩 Initial Issue
            • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
            • External display (HDMI) shows

[Problem/ Request] Bricked TongFang GK7MRFR BIOS
            by cr4zychriss
            Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX8402ZA BIOS
            by pirati
            Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...

            ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
            by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
            Some issues
            A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

            Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...
