Hello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card. No change. I tested the fans, separately, injecting voltage - they spin fine. I plugged in another fan from another card - it doesn't work. There are 2 connectors on the card and 2 of the fans are on one of them and the other fan is on the other connector. None of the fans spin. I measured voltages as follows: First - Without any fans plugged in and the card switched on with the computer switched on (displaying picture just fine) : PIN1 : 3,3V , PIN2: 1,8V, PIN3: 12V, PIN4 is ground. Second - With just one or both fans plugged and everything switched on, displaying picture just fine: PIN1 : 2,3V-3,3V fluctuating, PIN2 and PIN3: 0,6V-2V fluctuating, PIN4 is ground. If you check the fans speed on the computer it is saying that they are turning with 90%, then 95%, 97% etc... even though, they don't move at all. So i guess there is something wrong with the driver of those fans or something else but i don't know where to look for anymore and i can't find a schematic for this particular model. I have found for other RTX3090 but on them, i don't see the fan connectors and the design seems to be different. Does anyone have any ideas where i can look for the problem? I have uploaded pictures, the broken connector is the one on the left, upper side. Thanks a lot.

by zaler808Hi guys, this my first post but i want to be brief about it, i recently got a MBP L2013, the problem was that after some use the macbook shutted down randomly, at first i suspected to be the battery, and after connecting it with the charger i noticed that i didn´t shut, but after an hour or so it shutdown, after that i started searching a solution to my problem, but my brother tried to help me to find the problem and it that process to replicate the problem he reproduced a 4k video in multiple tabs and not much time after the macbook shutdown to never power again, what i noticed was that the...05-23-2024, 05:17 PM

by magnehHello all
Got this Spectre with an overheating problem.
I verified that the fans start briefly during power up, but never turn on again,
even when stress testing the machine and CPU at 100°C fans dont spin
Ive measured and I have 5V, 3.3v and 3rd pin 0.
When fans spin during start up, the signal at 0v is at 1.6v.
Probably its Fan2Sig pin and 3.3V is PWM, not sure
Question is , how to fix?
I think these signals come from ITE controller am I right?
Should I bother replacing it?

Unfortunately the laptop developed an issue that got worse over time: When powering up, the laptop would sometimes just stay dark (no backlight and/or BIOS splash logos - though the fans where turning on and off). It would take repeated power off/on to eventually make the laptop boot into Windows. Once the boot reached Windows, the laptop seemed... -
Hi guys,
I have a HP EliteBook 840 G6 here which I unlocked with RCUnlocker.
It boots fine, does everything it should, except that the fan spins permanently at 100%.
Already tried other fans. Then I made a BIOS update with no success either.
I tried restoring my backup dump but got nowhere with it. I don't know if it was due to bad soldering or because the bios update might have caused something to be incompatible now. At least that was my conclusion after multiple attempts.
Funny thing - I got a used replacement mainboard from ebay and...same...-

by mecha1166KDL-60EX500. Comes on fine, sound is fine, backlights come on. Blank screen. Already tried reset POWER/VOL-. Anyone else have this problem? Possibly bad T-Con RUNTK4244ZZ or panel? Could main or power supply cause this? There were 2 blown 560u 35v on power going to backlights but they were still working fine. Thanks for your help.
