Aspire V 17 Nitro (VN7-791G-77NA) startup failure
Last year I "inherited" a colleague's laptop (see model in title) that initially worked fine. (I put in a 500GB NVME SSD and had to set the BIOS in Legacy mode to make it work.. I think I had also updated the BIOS at the time.)
Unfortunately the laptop developed an issue that got worse over time: When powering up, the laptop would sometimes just stay dark (no backlight and/or BIOS splash logos - though the fans where turning on and off). It would take repeated power off/on to eventually make the laptop boot into Windows. Once the boot reached Windows, the laptop seemed...

Hi, my name is Jürgen. I like to repair my stuff - regardless if it is my car, washing machine, chainsaw, or my computer.
Unfortunately my component level electronics background is pretty much beginner level. I've done some AT128/ESP32 based electronics tinkering (a remotely controlled automated irrigation system) - but lacking the background I had to heavily rely on the expertise of a more electronics savy colleague.
