    ASUS P3-PH5X cap changes

    Just a quick post of some damaged caps on my ASUS P3-PH5X mobo.

    6.3v 1800 uf 8x20 caps NCC/UCC KZG series bulged and leaking, replaced with Nichicon HZ.

    4v 680 uf 8x8 NCC/UCC TMV series popped lid; replaced with polymer Nichicon FP L8 series 4v 560 uf

    Heat issue due to shelf location despite external 80 mm circulation fan.

    Result successful. see pics of dead soldiers and installed replacements

    regards;

      You should replace the other TMVs around the CPU VRM. Those will fail pretty soon too.
      I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

      No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards
