    Gigabyte GA-8IEXP

    Hi,

I've a question about my bad caps on a GA-8IEXP. There are 3 and all the same, GSC 6,3V 3300yf. The board works great and is stable, so, I would like to know, if I should replace them, or not. Perhaps the new ones would damage as well, because I don't know why these got broken.

    Replace now to prevent failure.
They went bad because they're GSC.

And if you don`t recap them, those Mosfets can burn to hell, making the whole board going apeshit. But no one can explain you when this will probably hapen. May be tomorrow, may be in several monts, years?
The reason why this GSC crap is going bad, is the lack of any quality control, the use of poor resources, e.g. unpurified AL for the foil and may be some poluted elektrolyt. Caps from more respected manufacturer won`t develop that kind of failure, unless they are very very old or in avery hot environment.
