ATI Radeon 700 PCI-E with SACON?

My son has been using this video card for several months an now it is "no display".

    The through-hole electrolytics are all Evercon (junk - I know), three 1500uf 6.3v, 2 470uf 16v.

The SMT phony solids are the question. I believe the ones with the halo and UD markings are Nichicon and can stay.

Another six are marked 57 1000 6A, and I think these are SACON, hence crap, and must be replaced. The card has through holes on the back, so that's what I am going to use, probably Sanyo 1000uf 16v electrolytics.

There is one real solid 470uf 16V V4S that I was going to leave there.

Can anyone confirm that the 57 series are in fact Sacon?

Is recapping this board likely to bring it back to life?

    AMD Radeon R9 290 / R9 380 / R9 390

The Radeon R9 290 was a high-end graphics card by AMD, launched on November 5th, 2013. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Hawaii graphics processor, in its Hawaii PRO variant, the card supports DirectX 12. This ensures that all modern games will run on Radeon R9 290. The Hawaii graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 438 mm² and 6,200 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked Radeon R9 290X, which uses the same GPU but has all 2816 shaders enabled, AMD has disabled some shading units on the Radeon R9 290 to reach the...

Stubborn GIGABYTE B365M AORUS ELITE - main PCIe x16 GPU port working only in x8 width mode
    by DynaxSC
    Hi,

I have this board, where I have exchanged the LGA1151 socket. During testing I discovered, that the large PCIEX16 slot won't by no force work in x16 mode, but keeps to work in x8 mode only.
I tested this with GPU-Z, also with Render Test (but tried also Furmark and Heaven Benchmark - no effect).
Tested on Core i5-9600K as well as on an Pentium G5420 and MSI NVIDIA GTX1070 and 2 other cards, including RTX3060Ti.
Board architecture definitely allows x16 mode, as all 16 PCIe lanes are present between CPU and main GPU slot (nearest to CPU).

    AMD Radeon R7 340 / R7 430 Schematic & Board View

The Radeon R7 340 OEM was a graphics card by AMD, launched on May 5th, 2015. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Oland graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 12. Even though it supports DirectX 12, the feature level is only 11_1, which can be problematic with newer DirectX 12 titles. The Oland graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 77 mm² and 950 million transistors. It features 384 shading units, 24 texture mapping units, and 8 ROPs. AMD has paired 2,048 MB GDDR5 memory with the...
