Asus P4P800-se problem finding right parts

Not exactly a new board but does it's job.Recently out of the blue the screens would scramble on both monitors and be stuck like that, so i would unplug the power supply for a while and take out the bios battery and let it sit for a while. Sometimes that worked and it would boot up and stay up for a month or two at a time then the same thing would happen. Note i did change the video card, and a new powersupply was put in after the Antec died...it was making noise but still worked for a while until it's fan siezed up so it was changed for another PSU.

I did notice a couple of bulged leaking caps on the mobo so i figure might as well take them all out and replace them. What i can't find on the web anywhere even on the asus site is a list of all the caps and specs on each. Since the mobo works sometimes i don't want to replace just the two i see are bad and can't read the sides of all the other ones crammed in unless they are all out first.

There are some kits on this site but none for this model but other newer asus boards. I'd rather order from this site a kit than from someone on ebay that has caps called Suncon which i looked up and they are chinese.

In the meantime a better heatsink cpu fan is on it's way instead of the cheap stock one that came with it. The prescott chip does run a little hot though 70 C sometimes but read up on that and it's supposed to be able to run that hot but i'd rather it not.

Yes i used arctic silver but it might not be seated properly the heat sink was taken out a few times and the four pins that you tighten a half turn into the mobo had to be straightend out last time to fit in the four holes.

So my best guess it's the two bulging caps that are the culprits and others and would like to change them all if taking it all apart anyway.

Wish i could read them all and just order rubycon but in place it's impossible even with lights and a magnifying glass.... in the meantime i'll see if it boots again and stays on for a while like before.

Oh when the video is scrambled on both screens and a reboot is tried the bios screen is scrambled too, then sometimes i hit the power up button and it starts and just stops after a few seconds, note this is a brand new powersupply 500watts more than enough and the same symtoms happened with the old PSU which was faulty for sure.

Apparantly there is no such thing and looking up a board on the net and finding the specs on each cap anywhere. I couldn't read them in place with all the shit in the way wires like a birds nest so had to take it out completly. Even then with reading glasses on plus a magnifying glass and a strong light it was hard to read them all with some of them huddled next to a PCI slot and other stuff in the way. Not to mention the dust on them and had to used a Q-tip on each one to read even though it was blown out before.

Finally wrote them all down and called Digikey, couldn't believe it no hold times and there were two people on the phone, one looking up matching ones and the other punching in the info...totally professional.

I don't know about the rest of you but their catalog seems like a waste of paper and almost impossible to find what you want in there. The bloody thing is twice as thick as my phone book. The online catalog looks much easier if you know exactly what you are looking for. It was just nice calling a place where they speak english and they don't say their name is Joe when it's really Mahandra Sing from Mumbai (gawd that pisses me off calling HP and not understanding what they are talking about then keep putting you on hold for another jackass called steve whose real name is Habib or some shit).

Anyway this isn't a plug for them and don't work for them but was happy with the service. I didn't ask if they are in the US or Canada but either way support North american vendors if possible.

Oh btw they didn't have Rubycon but did have Nichicon, Panasonic, and United Chemicon to match my parts so thats good enough for me.

You look up the cap specs at the cap manufacturer's site.
You'll have to find a way to read them.
      .
The phone people at Digikey, Mouser, etc don't likely know squat about ESR and that's critical on motherboard caps.
