    Acer AL1914

    hello guys I am new in this forum, i want to know if you can help me, i have an acer AL1914 display with this problem:

    when i turn on (shows the acer logo)it take like 3 seconds to automatically turns off again over and over

    does anybody know what could it be the problem ?

    Welcome to the forum! Definitely need photos of the top and bottom of each board per link below. Acer uses several different power supplies and we'll only be "guessing" without photos.

      I think AL1914 uses external 12v Power Supply ????/so would look at the Inverter Board in the first instance.

        ps watch the video at 480p in full screen almost at the end of the video you can see the acer logo and then it turns off and on (cycle)

            Well, for sure you have at least 5 bad/bloated caps. See my marked up pictures.

            Replace them with caps from this list.

            edit: Most here will recommend that you replace ALL the caps since at least 5 of them went bad and the others may be bad as well even though there is no visible bloating. Caps can still be bad with bloating. They can have out of tolerance uF or high ESR (ohms).

            Recapping everything should cost less than $10 USD.

              I'm gonna order them and will try in my next days off (Monday and/or Tuesday), i will notify you guys if the problem got solved

                The cap with the "K" vent just right of the inductor coil (green with copper windings) might be a Rubycon cap. You can leave that one installed if you want.
