Replaced all Caps, still have a white display. I'm assuming the backlight is working but no signal, therefore white screen. If you need more info, let me know.
All white means the back-light is working but the video chip isn't.
No signal would not normally give a white screen if the video -chip- is working.
Default output from the chip [as you would get with no signal in] is a blacked out screen.
Might also be a connection problem between the video circuit and the LCD.

Any suggestions?
Thanks Much!
Two. PCBONEZ is correct with suggesting you check for a connection problem. Within the past week someone had the same problem, they had forgotten to hook up the cable between the panel and the logic card.
There is usually a fuse on the 'panel circuit board'. This is a pc board that is part of the panel, often under a metal cover. If this fuse is open it will result in a white display.

PlainBill, the fuse you speak of, is it one of those surface mount components, the really really little ones? I've checked and double checked all the connections, so I'm sure that's not where the problem lies... also, I've got a copy of the service manual (80 pages), schematics... I'm just starting out and most of it looks Greek to me...

Thx, in advance...........
Precisely. It's usually about the size of a kernel of unpopped popcorn.
Is the service manual a hard copy or a PDF?

The service manual is PDF... For experienced trouble shooters the service manual probably is all you would need, but as I'm just starting out, reading it isn't real easy at this point, Seanc... As I grow in experience, I'm sure I'll be able to make use of it/them...
