    Velodyne 10 question ?

    Dear Members,

    I have Velodyne 10, it's on and responding to low frequency,
    but the speaker is not vibrating properly,
    Is it possible that the speaker is faulty or the amplifier ?

    The speaker resistance is 7.8 Ohm when I put on meter, but I'm not sure it's ok.
    Because it was getting a surge before,

    I've fixed the bridge, switching FET and FET driver before, and also
    the amplifier chip and FET are replaced,

    Is it possible the speaker was burned as well, even it's 8 ohm, it's faulty ?

          As the title.
          I think these used to be sold in maplins a lot of years ago, it is an antique, but it's just fine for my needs.
          It looks basic enough inside with large components so I could do a full recap pretty easily.
          Any suggestions on what component would cause the symptoms of low volume output on both left and right rear speaker outputs?
          If I turn up the rear gain level in the amp until the speakers start to distort it starts to distort quickly even though the speakers are still pretty quiet.
          I thought I had dodgy speakers as I just fitted new old stock 6x9s in...

          So like the title says, I have an old Stereo Receiver/Amplifier that I picked up from the goodwill, it's a HH Scott Model A510. When I first got it home it had zero output. Opened it up, notice the fuses are missing. Pop in 2 new fuses (AGC4A 250V) and try again, within 5 seconds the L channel fuse POP! I don't see any visible indications of damage or arc burns on the PCB, no popped resistors or diodes, no burnt traces or blown out caps. So I decide to just try another new fuse, POP. Swapped around my R and L speaker wires, and checked the integrity of all wires and connections. Everything looks...

          I did find a SN012776B0 on A2442 model, but the sub and replaced it, no go. Anyone know if these audio amp IC's are cross compatible between 2021-2023 models?...

          I've several amplifiers of different sizes which are faulty. I haven't fixed them because I haven't a clue. This is the smallest culprit. 240v in (UK) and 12v dc to the board. Small neon lights when power button is on. Different dc voltages across all of the capacitors. Where do I go from here?
